VIS 2014 - Vision?The Journal of Business Perspective

Vision?The Journal of Business Perspective is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, India. Contributions from the outstanding and well-published authors/scholars to upcoming young academicians and corporate functionaries are welcomed. Theoretical/Empirical/Applied Research are invited on the subjects of Business Management, Economic Environment and Market Trends and Analysis. These are major topics of interest but not restricted to the same. New subjects of interest are delightfully invited.
Special issue on Public Policy and Governance in India
This is a call for papers for a special issue of Vision ? The Journal of Business Perspective ? on public policy and governance in India, guest edited by Dr. Avanish Kumar and Dr. Vishal Narain. Papers should address critical analyses of public policy processes and institutions in the Indian context. Papers should be original contributions, providing insights into how policies are formulated and implemented with a specific focus on the role of civil society, private sector and state as actors in the policy process. Papers that highlight critical challenges in implementation, providing insights into the factors shaping the ‘implementation gap’ are encouraged.
The thematic focus includes, but is not restricted to:
? The role of different state and non-state actors at local, national and global levels in shaping the evolution of public policy
? Analysis of factors shaping or retarding the implementation of public policy initiatives
? Development planning and social dimensions of public policy
? Review of contemporary sectoral experiences in the evolution of public policy
? The analysis of the role of marginalized communities and collective action in the policy process
The special issue is scheduled for December 2014. The last date for submission of papers is June 30, 2014.
