ICHVE 2012 - ICHVE 2012 : International Conference on High Voltage Engineering and Application

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am honored to welcome you to attend the 2012 International Conference on High Voltage Engineering and Application (ICHVE 2012), which are organized jointly by Chongqing University, China, Shanghai Jiaotong University, China and Mississippi State University, USA. The ICHVE 2012 will be supported by State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), China Southern Power Grid (CSPD) and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The conference is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS), Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering (CSEE) and China Electrotechnical Society (CES). The ICHVE 2012 will be held in Shanghai, China on September 17-20, 2012.

ICHVE 2012 is the third conference in this successful series. The conference started at Chongqing, China in 2008 and was reconvened at New Orleans, USA in 2010. This conference has attracted more attentions from world wide high voltage researchers. Especially, with the development of nationwide electricity interconnection strategy, planning and constructing of UHV transmission lines in China, China starts to be one of the leaders and pioneers on high voltage engineering. We hope this conference can not only provide an excellent platform to share knowledge and experiences on high voltage engineering, but also present the advices on the construction and maintenance of UHV transmission lines in China.

Shanghai is a famous municipality directly under the Central Government and the window of the China development. It has a long history and numerous scenic spots and historical sites. We are looking forward to seeing you in the beautiful city Shanghai, China, during September 17-20, 2012. And I am sure ICHVE 2012 will definitely be an unforgettable and pleasant experience for you.
