ASA 2014 - 48th International Conference of the Architectural Science Association (ANZAScA)
Topics/Call fo Papers
We cordially invite you to contribute to the 48th International Conference of the Architectural Science Association (ANZAScA): “ACROSS: Architectural Research through to Practice” 10th ? 13th December 2014 that is co-hosted by the Department of Architectural Science, Polytechnic School, University of Genoa & the Architectural Science Association (ASA) by submitting your original research papers & posters on topics in architectural science, including but not limited to the following subjects:
Architecture & environmental sustainability
Buildings & energy
BIM & city information modelling
Construction, material & technology
Design education & design research
Environmental & landscape architecture
Generative, parametric & evolutionary architecture
Interactive environments & collaboration
Modes of production & mass customization
Interface between research and industry
Simulation, prediction, & evaluation
Theory, philosophy & methodology in architectural science
Thermal comfort, lighting & acoustics
Architecture and Social Research
Facade design
Architectural Research occupies the overlap between the realms of Academia and Practice. Each of these realms operates in slightly different ways in advancing the aims of research. Much could be gained through greater collaboration and knowledge sharing so that the two realms complement each other in achieving the overall objective. Neither should be privileged over the other as superior form of research.
The aim of the 48th International Conference of the Architectural Science Association (ANZAScA): “ACROSS: Architectural Research through to Practice” is to present papers, posters and other contributions from the multidisciplinary realm which promote the advancement of Architectural Research and focus on the positive outcome of the collaboration between Academia, Practice and Industry.
All abstracts & full papers will be double blind peer reviewed by the ASA International Editorial Board. Based on the quality of their full-paper selected authors will be invited for publishing in Architectural Science Review (ASR). Proceedings are supported by Genova University Press.
