Topics/Call fo Papers

With the evolution of the service-oriented computing paradigm and the rapid development of the mobile devices, mobile cloud computing aims at combining the advantages of both mobile computing and cloud computing through efficient utilizing the service capabilities of the infrastructure, network as well as the mobile devices. Moreover, Peer-to-Peer Computing, Grid Computing, Crowdsourcing Computing and other emerging computing paradigms have also developed various applications on mobile devices. The evolution of the computing paradigms needs an efficient way to utilize the mobile devices¡¯ idle resources to build a unified service infrastructure.
Moreover, with the emergence of new computing paradigms, communication networks experience unprecedented transformation. On the one hand, the wireless network resources among the mobile devices and the access point should be carefully planned and utilized since they are usually limited in bandwidth or even unavailable sometimes. On the other hand, the wired network should integrate existing and upcoming technologies into a heterogeneous and highly dynamic resource pool. Virtualization and federation will allow operation of multiple distinguished networked services, tailored to different needs, on the same physical infrastructure. Based on this motivation, many novel network architectures, such as Software Defined Network (SDN), Content Centric Networks (CCN) and Service-Oriented Future Internet Architecture (SOFIA) etc., are put forward in recent years from the viewpoint of incremental approach or clean-state design. However, it still remains a challenging task to measure, manage, and control SDN.
