FORM 2014 - The 4th International Workshop on Financial Optimization and Risk Management (FORM 2014)

Financial Optimization and Risk Management are two important disciplines in Financial
Engineering, and various models and method have been successfully applied to banking, securities
and insurance companies. Currently some new challenges arise in these fields such as financial
forecast, financial fraud detection, financial risk management, and portfolio selection. Because the
solution of complex problems must cope with tight timing schedules, powerful computational
algorithms and complex optimization techniques are inevitable for solving some practical
financial problems. Recently, some efficient business intelligence models and algorithms have
been developed in financial applications.
In order to strengthen academic exchanges and discussions on the fields of finance optimization
and risk management, the Fourth International Workshop on Financial Optimization and Risk
Management (FORM 2014) will be held on 8-10 August 2014 in Xi’an, China. The workshop on
FORM2014 which is one part of The Seventh International Conference on Business Intelligence
and Financial Engineering (BIFE 2014) will provide a platform for communications. We are
pleased to invite you to attend this important event and to submit original papers. All accepted
papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society (EI and ISTP indexed). Some selected
high-quality papers will be published in several SCI/EI indexed international journals.
