The Spacecraft and Launch Vehicle Dynamic Environments Workshop is an annual forum to discuss the best approaches for designing, modeling, analyzing, and testing modern space systems for loads, acoustics, vibration, and shock. The workshop is intended to be informal, enabling attendees from various U.S. and non-U.S. organizations to exchange ideas and information.
The workshop is structured similar to a technical conference, but focuses more narrowly and attempts to avoid the formalities associated with journals and proceedings publications.
The main purposes for the workshop are to:
? Permit payload designers to discuss the availability and adequacy of booster dynamic environments data for use in design, analysis, test, and operations
? Discuss concerns in vehicle design and test to meet dynamic environments specifications
? Update status and results of ongoing research studies in the dynamic environments field applicable to spacecraft and launch vehicle design or test
? Exchange state-of-the-art methods of solving dynamic environments problems
? Improve communications between launch vehicle and spacecraft organizations to increase the efficiency of the integration process
Who should attend the Spacecraft and Launch Vehicle Dynamic Environments Workshop? Mechanical and aerospace engineers, systems engineers, program office managers, professors, and students with a background in designing, modeling, analyzing, and testing modern space systems for loads, acoustics, vibration, and shock. Representatives from industry, academia, and the military are encouraged to attend.
