N.N.Semenov International Center of Chemical Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow) and Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (Kaliningrad, Russia) organize the 7-th International Conference on nitroxide radicals (SPIN-2014) in the period September 14-20, 2014 in tribute of 50th anniversary of the first article by E.G.Rozantzev & M.B.Neiman (1964) on the organic radical reactions without involving the unpaired electrons.
Previous six successful meetings in Pécs 1979, Novosibirsk 1989 & 2005, Kaiserslautern 2001, Ancona 2008 and Marseilles 2011, showed the importance of these interdisciplinary conferences.
The aim of these Conferences as well as of the upcoming SPIN-2014 meeting, is to bring all-together scientists dealing with nitroxide radicals and spin traps for stimulating inter-science-exchange with ideas and opinions, providing mutual benefits and further progress in the field.
Topics of SPIN-2014:
Synthesis, structure and properties of nitroxides
Magnetic spectroscopy of nitroxides
Spin labeling and probing
Spin trapping
Applications in chemistry, medicine and biology
Supramolecular systems
Molecule-based magnets
NO biochemistry and EPR spectroscopy
The Conference will include plenary lectures (30 min), oral presentations (20 and 15 min) and poster sessions. Several world-known scientists have already confirmed their participation:
W.E. Trommer (Germany), J.H. Freed (USA), G. Grampp (Austria), R. Tamura (Japan), V.V. Khramtsov (USA), I.A. Grigor’ev (Russia), H.J. Halpern (USA).
Three half-day excursions will be arranged: to Kaliningrad (the city tour, Cathedral, Amber-museum), to dunes of Curonian spit. Conference dinner will be organized in the renewed old Castle.
We are looking forward to meet you in Zelenogradsk at SPIN-2014!
Chairman
Alexander I. Kokorin, N.N.Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics, RAS (ICP RAS)
