ASCE 2014 - 14th International Conference on Engineering, Science, Construction and Operations in Challenging Environments
Topics/Call fo Papers
14th International Conference on Engineering, Science, Construction and Operations in Challenging Environments
CALL FOR PAPERS
Abstract Deadline Feb. 28, 2014
Dear Colleagues:
On behalf of the ASCE Aerospace Division, you are invited to submit an abstract and paper for presentation at the 14th ASCE Earth and Space Conference. This year’s conference will be held October 27-29, 2014, in St. Louis, Missouri (USA).
Abstracts should align with the conference theme “Engineering in Extreme Environments” and be submitted in one of four interrelated topical areas listed below.
Conference Topics
Granular Materials in Space Exploration
The unconsolidated, granular nature of planetary regolith (soil) raises fundamental questions about its properties and behavior everywhere from Earth to the Moon and Mars to the asteroids and beyond. more
Exploration and Utilization of Extra-Terrestrial Bodies
Methodologies, techniques, instruments, concepts, missions and system level designs associated with robotic and human exploration of the Moon, Mars, Near Earth Asteroids and other planetary bodies. more
Advanced Materials and Designs for Hydraulic, Earth, and Aerospace Structures
New techniques in experimental, computational, and analytical mechanics are expanding understanding of the behavior of composite, smart, and new materials. more
Structures in Challenging Environments: Dynamics, Controls and Sensors
Integration of sensors into structural and material systems enables more effective and precisely tuned performance, as well as remote evaluation and control of space and terrestrial systems. more
All accepted papers must be presented during the conference and will be included in peer reviewed proceedings published and copyrighted by ASCE.
Abstract Submission Deadline is Feb. 28
Authors must submit abstracts online. For format and detailed information, please go to http://earthspaceconf2014.mst.edu/. Review and notification of acceptance will be issued by March 22, 2014.
Feel free to contact us at earthconf2014-AT-mst.edu or call 573-341-6222, if you have any questions or need assistance. I look forward to receiving your submissions and meeting you at the conference in October.
