ISPE 2014 - The International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology Mid-Year Meeting
Topics/Call fo Papers
The ISPE 2014 Mid-year meeting invites student abstracts for oral presentation in the area of pharmacoepidemiology and drug safety. Student and recent graduates* who are lead author on the study can submit abstracts. Six student abstracts will be selected for presentation at the 2014 Mid-year meeting in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, which will take place from 4-7 April. The winners of the six selected abstracts will be offered a generous scholarship to help cover travel and accommodation fees.
The content ofthe submitted abstracts must be related to theme of the conference. Suggested topics for abstract submission are:

Benefit Risk Assessment, Communication and Evaluation
Biologics
Classic Pharmacoepidemiology
Comparative Effectiveness Research
Database Research
Drug Utilization/Health Services Research
Medical Devices
Medications in Pregnancy
Molecular Epidemiology/Biomarkers/Pharmacogenetics
Pediatrics
All abstracts must be submitted electronically by using the on-line submissionform on the ISPE website, by 15 November 2013 5pm EST.
The abstract must be single-spaced and in upper and lowercase letters (do not use all capital letters). The text must not exceed 300 words excluding title and author details.
Abstracts must follow the following format: Background (including Aim/Objective), Methods, Results and Conclusion. In scoring the abstract, importance will be given to all the sections of the abstract. Tables, graphs, and charts are NOT permitted in abstracts.
Title of the abstract must be in upper and lowercase. The title should be specific to the content. Use short titles and standard abbreviations (expand at its first instance). Include the presenting author’s name and affiliation. Avoid reference to institution names, locations, or funding sources in the abstract.
All abstracts must be submitted in English only. Please carefully check all text for errors before submitting into the system as the quality of your submission may affect the outcome of the reviewers’ scoring of your abstract. No edits will be allowed in the submitted abstracts for typing, spelling, or grammatical errors.
