LibEuro 2014 - The European Conference on Literature and Librarianship (LibEuro2014)
Topics/Call fo Papers
2014 Conference Theme: “Individual, Community & Society: Conflict, Resolution & Synergy”
The International Academic Forum in conjunction with its global university partners is proud to announce the Inaugural European Conference on Literature and Librarianship, to be held from July 17-20, 2014, at the Thistle Hotel Brighton, in the United Kingdom.
Hear the latest research, publish before a global audience, present in a supportive environment, network, engage in new relationships, experience the UK, explore Brighton, London and the South-East of England, join a global academic community…
LibrEuro 2014 is not only an academic conference, but also offers a number of talks, workshops, and readings of original works, in the context of an exciting long weekend of interdisciplinary and intercultural discussion. The European Conference on Literature and Librarianship, or LibEuro is the sister conference to the established Asian Conference on Literature and Librarianship (LibrAsia), and will build on the conversations and partnerships that have developed over the past few years, with this inaugural event in the UK.
The UK has one of the word’s longest and richest literary traditions stretching back well over a thousand years. As the country of Chaucer, Shakespeare, Bacon, Milton, Swift, Burns, Blake, Byron, Austen, Dickens, Eliot, Wells, Barrie, Stoker, Doyle, Carroll, Hardy, Kipling, Huxley, Woolf, Auden, Thomas, Lawrence, Christie, Tolkien, Orwell, Lessing, Greene, Dahl, Ishiguro, McEwan, and Rowling (to name a few), it is an ideal place to bring together academics, writers, and librarians to celebrate, debate, and explore their common passion.
We hope that this year’s conference theme will inspire a wide variety of avenues of research, and look forward to a lively exchange of ideas in the summer. We look forward to seeing you at LibEuro2014!
