The annual ACM/IFIP/USENIX Middleware conference is a major forum for the discussion of innovations and recent advances in the design, construction and use of middleware systems. Following the success of past conferences in this series, the 15th International Middleware Conference will be the premier event for middleware research, technology and experimentation in 2014. The scope of the conference is the design, implementation, deployment, and evaluation of distributed system platforms and architectures for computing, storage, and communication environments. Highlights of the conference will include a high quality single-track technical program, invited speakers, an industrial track, panel discussions involving academic and industry leaders, poster and demonstration presentations, a doctoral symposium, and workshops.

Bordeaux Bordeaux is a wonderful city, characterized by its unique 18th century heritage, which is located in the southwest of France, near the Atlantic coast. The city is full of beautiful and historic buildings and has recently been acknowledged by UNESCO which has classified more than one thousand eight hundred hectares of Bordeaux as a World Heritage Site. Bordeaux is also well-know to be the capital of wine.

The Cité Mondiale The conference will be located in the city centre The Cité Mondiale. Located in the Chartrons, the 18th-century district of wine-merchants, in the centre of the city near the wharfs of the Garonne river, this convention centre houses a 4* Mercure hotel with 97 rooms, an auditorium of 300 seats, 1270 m2 of multi-purpose space, 10 committee rooms seating 20 to 238 persons, and one of the best views over Bordeaux from the top floor.
