DET 2014 focuses on creative solutions on distance education. It combines several advanced topics on design, implementation, and applications of E-learning systems. Submissions may cover novel approaches on distance learning tools, communication mechanisms, distance learning and culture, new educational technologies, distance learning, serious game, simulation, and the arts, and so on. Our special attention will be devoted to the following themes:
Sentient Multimedia Systems for Distance Learning
3D Printing Innovations in Distance Learning
Mobile and Social Learning
This workshop is being held in conjunction with 20th International Conference on Distributed Multimedia Systems (DMS 2014) http://www.ksi.edu/seke/dms14.html.
Presenters of selected papers from DET 2014 may be invited to submit an extended article to a special issue of International Journal of Distance Education Technologies (IJDET) for publication.

Distance Education Technologies cover important aspects of Communication Technologies, distance learning and culture improvement and arts by using Intelligent Technologies and Educational Technologies. In addition to the themes, the technical issues to be addressed include, but are not limited to:

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
Papers should be prepared according to the DMS'2014 submission requirements. Electronic submissions are encouraged through the following URL: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=dms201.... When submitting, select the track DET14 Distant Education Technologies Workshop.
Manuscript must include a 200-word abstract and no more than 8 pages of double column text (include figures and references). All submissions must not be published or under consideration for publication in a journal or in a conference with proceedings. Papers will be evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness and clarify of exposition. Depending upon the results of evaluation a paper may be accepted as regular paper (8 pages), short paper (5 pages) or poster (poster presentation only).
