The 13th IWDW, International Workshop on Digital-forensics and Watermarking (IWDW 2014) is a premier forum for researchers and practitioners working on novel research, development and applications of digital watermarking and forensics techniques for multimedia security. This year, IWDW 2014 is hosted by National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) and National Taipei College of Business in Taiwan on October 1-4, 2014.We invite submissions of high-quality original research papers. Each submitted paper will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. Two prizes are to be awarded for the best paper and the best student paper, respectively. The proceedings of IWDW 2014 will be published on the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) by Springer. (Special issues based on IWDW 2014 are to be published in Journal of Computers (EI indexed) and International Journal of Network Security (EI indexed).) The topics include, but are not limited to:
Mathematical modeling of embedding and detection
Information theoretic, stochastic aspects of data hiding
Security issues, including attacks and counter-attacks
Combination of data hiding and cryptography
Optimum watermark detection and reliable recovery
Copyright protection, DRM, and forensic watermarking
Large-scale experimental tests and benchmarking
New statistical and perceptual models of multimedia content
Estimation of watermark capacity
Reversible data hiding
Data hiding in special media
Data hiding and authentication
Steganography and steganalysis
Channel coding techniques for watermarking
Digital multimedia forensics & anti-forensics
Visual cryptography and secret image sharing
