We invite prospective authors for contributions in the theory or practice of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and vehicular communications in the framework of the following main topics (not limited to):
- vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-infrastructure, intra-vehicle communications
- vehicle-to-Internet communications and multimedia applications
- new trends in VANETS, e.g. integration of electric vehicles in smart grid communications
- mobility and vehicular traffic models
- information collection and dissemination
- vehicle localization using communication technology or GNSS applications
- traveller information services and multi-modal transport
- analytical, simulation, or experimental systems; field operational testing
- protocol performance enhancements
- safety and non-safety related applications
- recent standardization efforts and problems (e.g. 802.11p)
- international harmonization activities (e.g. Europe vs. US vs. Japan)
- cooperative ITS solutions
- IPv6 communications between vehicle, roadside infrastructure and core network
- security of vehicular communications
- location privacy for vehicular communications
Authors are invited to submit full papers comprising original work, not previously published, in English of max. 12 pages (or max. 8 pages for work in progress) in LNCS single-column format. All papers will be reviewed by an International Technical Program Committee with appropriate expertise. A properly anonymized (should not contain the names/details of the authors) version of the paper has to be submitted to the http://edas.info/N16229.
Accepted papers will be presented by their authors at the workshop to be held in Offenburg area and published in the Springer LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) series (to be confirmed). Registration for the workshop by at least one of the authors and presenting the paper is a mandatory requirement for having the paper included in the proceedings.
A submission implies willingness to register and present the work if the paper is accepted for presentation at the workshop.
