WATCC 2014 - International Workshop on Advanced Technologies of Cloud Computing
Topics/Call fo Papers
Cloud Computing has many concerns from both industry and academia. A huge number of researches were proposed to provide users with flexible services with massive computing and storage resources in a transparent manner. However, there is some performance gap between cloud computing and the traditional HPC environments. Therefore, the performance of running the high performance applications in clouds comparing with the traditional HPC infrastructure should be a concern. In addition, in order to support high reliability service, the security, privacy and reliability provided by the services in the cloud must be well designed and established.
Since 2013, the Workshop on Advanced Technologies of Cloud Computing merges the two workshops, namely, CloudSec and CloudTech-HPC, into one. The workshop involves the novel system architecture construction and design, tuning of software environment, theoretical analysis, emerging applications, experimental studies, construction of mathematical models and numerical solution techniques for solving scientific, social scientific, engineering problems, and social impacts of Cloud Computing.
The goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners in cloud technologies for high performance computing and the latest developments and technical solutions concerning various aspects of security issues in Cloud Computing. The workshop also welcomes short papers related to Security in Cloud Computing, which summarize speculative breakthroughs, work-in-progress, industry featured projects, open problems, new application challenges, visionary ideas, and preliminary studies. Please join us in a discussion of new ideas, experiences, and the latest trends in these areas at the workshop.
Workshop Scope:
This workshop provides a forum, with paper presentations for researchers, practitioners and users to exchange ideas and to share experiences in order to lay the foundations for cloud technologies in high performance computing and security in cloud computing. All papers related to cloud technologies for high performance computing and security in cloud computing are welcome. We cordially invite presenters to submit manuscripts for any application domain as long as the core of the manuscript belongs to, but not limited to, the following topics:
Cloud technologies in high performance computing
