Topics/Call fo Papers

Following very successful previous editions since 2002, this session of the conference, hosted in a very attractive place of the French Riviera, will be devoted to a highly selective single-track program for papers describing original and unpublished research advancing the state of the art in the field of new Parallel and Distributed Computing paradigms and applications. Parallel and Distributed Computing is today a central topic in science, engineering and society in the development of new approaches for the modeling, design, analysis, evaluation, and programming of future parallel and distributed computing systems and applications.
Indeed, most computer based systems and applications are nowadays designed following parallel computing paradigms, parallel and distributed architectures, highly threaded programming environments and development tools:
Applications of parallel and distributed systems: science and engineering, data warehousing, social networks, management of big data, embedded networking systems, cloud and grid computing, mobile systems, web-based and multimedia systems, knowledge-based systems, biomedical applications, resource management including green computing…
Parallel and distributed architectures: instruction-level and thread-level parallelism; very large-scale and reconfigurable systems design; special purpose architectures including graphics processors, VLSI design and signal processors, network processors, media accelerators; network and interconnect architectures; parallel I/O and data storage structures; power-aware embedded architectures…
Programming and developments tools: parallel and multicore programming; runtime systems and parallel virtual machines; multi-threaded operating systems; time-critical parallel embedded systems, middleware for grids, clouds and data centers; Internet programming tools, performance modeling and evaluation tools…
Algorithms design: parallel numerical, combinatorial and randomized algorithms; algorithms for heterogeneous systems or systems of systems; communication protocols, multicasting and interconnect algorithms; data-intensive parallel algorithms; scalability of algorithms and data structures; networking reconfiguration and mobile computing algorithms; performance modelling and optimization; scheduling and load balancing algorithms; efficient security and safety algorithms…
The Conference track will be organized around the following, but not limited to, topics:
System Architectures for Parallel and Distributed Computing
New Parallel Programming Models and Algorithms
Performance Modeling, Management and Optimization
High Performance Computing and Large Scale Applications
Distributed Computing and Networking Applications
Mobile and Embedded Parallel Systems
Interactivity
