CLAWS 2010 - International Workshop on Compilers, Languages and Architectures for Web Services (CLAWS 2010)
Topics/Call fo Papers
The Workshop on Compilers, Languages and Architectures for Web Services (CLAWS) is an international forum which brings together researchers and practitioners working on Web services design, middleware, architectures, and implementations. Many international efforts and resources are being funneled into the research and development of Web services, particularly by the Cloud Computing and Grid Computing communities. The CLAWS workshop more than scratches the surface of Web services by digging into the very heart of the technologies that have driven the Web services evolution. The focus of the CLAWS workshop is the complexity, scalability, and performance of XML and non-XML Web services and effective ideas and approaches to address remaining issues. Examples are autocode generators, programming languages, pre-processors and compilers for language extensions, XML data bindings, type mappings, object serialization, and software/hardware architectures. The CLAWS workshop will promote the exchange of new ideas and sharing of results related to on-going Web services computing research.
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit 8-page papers by May 1, 2010 and must submit through the workshop's electronic submission service accessible at the workshop site. Papers will be reviewed by at least three independent reviewers. Papers will be evaluated with respect to originality, significance, clarity, technical soundness, and relevance to the workshop. Results presented in submitted papers must be unpublished and should not have been submitted for publication elsewhere, including the proceedings of other conferences or workshops. One author of each accepted paper will be expected to present the paper at the workshop. The proceedings of the workshop will be published with the ICPP conference proceedings.
Workshop Topics
The topics of the CLAWS workshop include (but are not necessarily limited to) the research and application of compilers and language design aspects to Web Services and Web Service architectures:
Autocode generators, pre-processors, and compilers for Web services
Programming languages and language extensions for Web services
XML integration in programming languages
XML data binding and XML schema type mapping
XML protocol processing optimization
XML query optimization
Web services architectures
Parallel Web services
Web services composition
Web services server technologies
Matchmaking for Web services
Quality of service assurance for Web services
Scalability of Web services
Resource management for Web services
Performance evaluation of Web services
Performance modeling of Web services
Simulation of Web services
