Track Chairs:
Rosta Farzan University of Pittsburgh, USA.
Vincent Wade Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
Goals:
Hyperlinking forms the foundation of hypertext systems such as the Web. Adaptive hypermedia and contextual information access provide a means of suggesting user directions within the interwoven web, to achieve a particular goal or to acquire knowledge. Apart from semantic aspects, semiotics and linguistics play an important role in adaptive linking and enhanced user experience. Moreover, they inform how we can use and whether we should use particular links. In this track, we welcome submissions related to user modeling, personalization, hypertext structuring mechanisms, user experience and user studies.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Novel Adaptive Hypertext Frameworks, Authoring Toolkits and Applications for Adaptive Linking and User Experience Enhancement.
Usability and Scrutability of Adaptive and Dynamic Hypermedia.
Computational Hypertext Models.
Hypertext/Social Information Aggregation, Dynamic Recomposition and/or Visualisation.
Novel Information Interfaces and Navigation Support.
Natural Language Processing techniques for Novel Adaptive Linking e.g. Entity recognition/disambiguation, role labeling, etc.
Social linking and adaptation for sharing and curation.
Embedded Actions in web content and Responsive Web Content (for mobile/desktop/tablet devices).
