Geometric Modeling and Processing (GMP) is a biannual international conference series on geometric modeling, simulation and computing. The modeling and processing of geometric data is fundamental to many computer applications, including computer graphics, computer vision, CAD/CAM, medical imaging, engineering analysis, robotics and scientific computation. GMP conferences provide researchers and practitioners with a forum for exchanging new ideas, discussing new applications, and presenting new solutions.
GMP'14, the eighth GMP conference, will be held in Singapore on June 29 ? July 1, 2014. The previous GMP conferences were held in Yellow Mountain (2012), Castro Urdiales (2010), Hangzhou (2008), Pittsburgh (2006), Beijing (2004), Tokyo (2002), and Hong Kong (2000). GMP’14 invites submission of high-quality papers on topics including, but not limited to:
- Curves and Surfaces
- Digital geometry processing
- Differential geometry
- Dimensioning and geometric tolerances
- Geometric feature modeling and recognition
- Geometric Constraint solving
- Geometric optimization
- Heterogeneous modeling
- Multiresolution modeling
- Mathematical foundations of CAGD
- Shape representation
The conference proceedings will be published in a special issue of Graphical Models (Elsevier). To meet Graphical Models standards, papers will undergo a two-stage review process. Authors of papers that are determined to be acceptable with minor revisions during a first review cycle will be invited to submit a revised version for a second review cycle. Only the papers that are accepted in this second review cycle will appear in the journal issue and be presented at the conference. Submissions with strong potentials but requiring major revisions will be recommended to Graphical Models for a second review cycle.
