The Design for Manufacturing and the Life Cycle Committee of the Design Engineering Division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers is pleased to announce the 19th Annual Design for Manufacturing and Life Cycle (DFMLC) Conference, to be held August 17-20, 2014 in Buffalo, NY as part of the ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conferences. This conference brings together researchers, practitioners and educators from academia, government organizations, and industry in the design for manufacturing and the life cycle areas to share the latest results in the field and define new challenges. The ASME Design for Manufacturing and Life Cycle Conference is the main international forum for the exchange of technical and scientific information on the theory and practice of sustainable design and manufacturing, design for X (DfX), and product life-cycle management (PLM) encompassing the topics listed below, among others. The conference will feature discussions and paper presentations in lecture format and interactive sessions, in the diverse areas of sustainable engineering, DfX, and PLM.
