CEW&CM 2013 - International Workshop of the ICA Commission Cartography in Early Warning and Crisis Management

The International Workshop of the ICA Commission Cartography in Early Warning and Crisis Management (further CEW&CM) is a part of World network of activities of this commission. China is the place where are potentials to enrich knowledge about Crises and Disaster situations and also apply best practices from other continents and countries with intention to create new complex and higher quality approaches, methodologies and technologies.
ICA knowledge, methodologies, technologies and practices, especially visualization are useful in support for decision-making in Emergency and Risk situations as their prevention and reduction.
The ICA commission Research Agenda is mentioned at: http://icaci.org/commissions/ and coming workshop partly follows it and partly enriches that agenda with effort to better recognize and understand Asian, Regional and Local specifications and improve effectiveness of decision making on the background of the World trends in Emergency and Risk management.
The conference will be held at Wuhan University which is famous in all World by its research and scientific potentials and progressive applications. In Wuhan university have been organized a lot of very successful international conferences, seminars and workshops; friendly hospitality of domestic organizers is well known.
In the conference are expected scientists and researchers from all areas touching theme of the workshop and generally Emergency and Risk Management, Disaster reduction and other fields touching areas. Invited are also university, secondary school professors and teachers and warmly also students of all levels, including PhD ones.
