13th International Congress on Pediatric Pulmonology (CIPP XIII) from June 26 to 29, 2014 in Bruges, Belgium. As the only global congress entirely devoted to Pediatric Pulmonology, CIPP XIII offers a unique opportunity for state-of-the-art reviews of advances in this field, debates on controversial issues, unique clinical sessions and cutting edge clinical science.
Petr Pohunek, and Alexander Tuazon, together with input from colleagues around the world, have developed a comprehensive and exciting scientific program, covering global issues in child lung health, with 3 tracks to choose from. The Young Investigator sessions, a well established part of CIPP, will again be an important part of the program, offering junior colleagues a unique opportunity to present their work. In addition, we will be holding a combined clinical and radiological case presentation session, and are inviting submissions for this. This year, we will also, for the first time, be offering 4 travel grants to young investigators from low income countries who submit the most highly rated abstracts. The deadline for submission of abstracts and cases is November 30, 2013.
Bruges is a charming town filled with incredible history and beautiful scenery. In addition to attending the meeting and catching up with colleagues from around the world, we hope you will have time to explore this beautiful town. Wandering down the cobblestone streets you may discover countless historical, architectural and artistic wonders.
These are exciting times for CIPP. This year, we are looking towards establishing a formal global organisation for health care professionals concerned with child lung health, under the umbrella of CIPP. We have much work to do to advance child lung health globally and much to learn from each other, and CIPP can provide an excellent framework in which to do this.
We invite you to join us for CIPP XIII for excellent clinical science, for connecting with old friends and establishing new friendships and for a wonderful time in this beautiful place.
I look forward to welcoming you in Bruges in June 2014.
Best wishes
Prof Heather Zar
President, CIPP XIII
