Topics/Call fo Papers

The aim of the conference is to bring together scholars, students and advocates of Malaysia and Southeast Asia to articulate and reflect upon Malaysia, the region and the rest of the world. The Conference offers the celebration of an interdisciplinary study, wide in its scope, yet fairly focused on the geo-historical conditions of Southeast Asia, Malaysia being centrally integral to the region’s past, present, and future. Recent issues and developments in the region have called for a renewed examination of existing thought and institutions impinging upon a network of relations amongst nations and states in the region. This conference bears upon the interaction between Malaysia and its neighbours, and how we view each other at the popular, academic and policy level discourses. It is to inspire new research areas and exchanges across national, religious, cultural and disciplinary divides. We therefore seek papers from all fields in the Humanities and Social Sciences in theoretically engaging, either appraising, re-examining epistemological or social applications. The conference also provides great opportunities for participants to exchange new ideas and experiences, to establish research and business relations with global partners for future collaboration
