The DIGITEL 2010 conference would like to provide opportunities to
researchers early in their careers and
graduate the opportunity to present and publish their work in a separate
forum at the conference.
The ECRT welcomes papers that report on work in progress. Non-student
advisors or collaborators
should be acknowledged appropriately, as co-authors or otherwise.
ECRT papers topics should be related to the conference topics
(see http://digitel2010.cl.ncu.edu.tw/).
Topics of interest include but are not be limited to:
Foundation and theory for design
Educational Robots and Toys
Artificial intelligence
Virtual characters
Virtual storytelling and game narrative
Multiplayer and social game design
Simulation and animation
Augmented/Mixed Reality
Game-based Learning/Training
Games in Real World (Ubiquitous Learning)
Storytelling and Narrative in Education
VR-based Education/Training
Non-Visual Senses (smelling, touching, hearing)
Mobile games and its linking to online games
Location-based games and ubiquitous technology
Identity in gaming to learn: roles and role-playing
Collaboration, competition and community
Social and Cultural aspects
Submitted papers should be well organized and structured in a way that
demonstrates
the links between the concepts presented, and they should describe within a
2 page limit:
the problem(s) that the proposed research is addressing and how it fits into
the bigger picture
the aims and objectives of the research
the methodology to achieve the objectives and the proposed solution
the main contribution(s) of the research.
Format of ECRT papers and submission instructions
All papers should be submitted electronically via the conference paper
submission system.
Submissions should be 2 pages long including references.

A panel of senior researchers will play the role of discussants to help the
presenters further develop
