Lecturers, Researchers, Engineers, Students, Scientists and Industry professionals, who wish to explore latest techniques and algorithms on Control, Fuzzy logic and Sliding mode approach, are welcome to this Practical Workshop.
The Workshop Convener will start from the MATLAB basics and gradually guide the participants to learn the fundamentals of Fuzzy Logic, Systems and Control using Sliding Mode approach.
OBJECTIVES
To introduce state of the art methods in control with Fuzzy Logic and Sliding Mode approach using MATLAB Toolboxes for Fuzzy Logic and Control.
COURSE METHODOLOGY
The course will be conducted by balancing theoretical concepts with modelling examples and practical solutions using MATLAB.
BIOGRAPHY OF THE CONVENER
Prof. V. Sundarapandian (India) was born near Madurai, India on July 15, 1967. He obtained his D.Sc. degree in Electrical and Systems Engineering from Washington University, St. Louis, USA in May 1996. He has specialized in the areas ? Linear and Nonlinear Control Systems, Chaos and Control, Fuzzy Logic Control, and Computational Science. Presently, Dr. V. Sundarapandian is serving as Professor and Dean of the Research and Development Centre at Vel Tech University, Chennai, India. Earlier, he has served as Professor and Acting Director of the IIITM-K Trivandrum, India. Dr. V. Sundarapandian has over 20 years of teaching and research experience. He has authored 3 books on Science subjects, viz. Numerical Linear Algebra (PHI Learning, India), Probability, Statistics and Queuing Theory (PHI Learning, India), and Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations (McGraw Hill Education, India). He has guided 5 doctorate students in Computer Science, Control and Electrical Engineering. He has authored over 325 papers in refereed international journals and over 90 papers in International Conferences. He has served as General Chair and Conference Chair of many International Conferences, and delivered many Keynote addresses on Chaos and Control Systems. He is the Editor-in-Chief of over ten International Journals on Control Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computational Biology and Soft Computing. He is also in the Editorial Boards of many International Journals on Computer Science, Information Technology and Computational Science. He is the India Chair of Academy & Industry Research Collaboration Center (AIRCC). He is also a Honorary General Chair of the CEIT International Conference at Tunisia and a Honorary Editor of IPCO Journals & PET.
