SWCIB 2013 - The 2nd International Workshop on Semantic Web-based Computer Intelligence with Big-data
Topics/Call fo Papers
The 2nd International Workshop on Semantic Web-based Computer Intelligence with Big-data (SWCIB 2013) will be held in conjunction with the 3rd Joint International Semantic Technology Conference (JIST2013). Given the success of the previous edition of this workshop, which has been collocated with the 2nd Joint International Semantic Technology Conference (JIST2012), we are encouraged to organize the second version of this series with extending the topics and changing the workshop name from Semantic Web-based R&D Trend Analysis on BigData (SWRTAB 2012).
n Aims and Scope
The characteristic of intelligence is usually attributed to humans but, recently, many products and systems are also regarded to be intelligent. The recent prevalence of smartphones is encouraging the research on intelligence and Apple’s Siri and IBM’s Watson is accelerating the research on intelligence and knowledge implemented and constructed from big data. In this light of the recent wave of big data and intelligence, the Semantic Web-based computer intelligence with big data will be quite interesting and beneficial to the researchers as well as the practitioners from engineering to business. This international workshop aims to discuss key issues and practices of Semantic Web and big data technologies for computational intelligence. Specifically, by bringing together representatives of academia and industry, the workshop will be also a means for identifying new research problems and disseminating results of the research and practice on Semantic Web, Big Data and Computer Intelligence.
n Topics of Interest
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Ontology and Semantic Web for Intelligence
- Linked (Open) Data Analysis for Intelligence
- Entity Disambiguation on Large Scale Semantic Data
- Ontology Reasoning for Intelligence
- Context-Aware Reasoning and Representation
- Knowledge Extraction and Learning
- Information Analysis for Intelligence
- Big Data Processing for Intelligence
- Big Data-driven Web Intelligence
- Big Data-driven Business Intelligence
- Big Data-driven Technology/Competitive/Collective Intelligence
- Big Data-driven Trend Analysis
- Visualizing and Providing Intelligence
n Submissions and Publications
Authors are invited to submit original papers that MUST NOT have been submitted to or published in any other workshop, conference, or journal. Authors should submit a paper within 6 pages in length, including all figures, tables, and references. All papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee for significance, originality, accuracy, and clarity.
Please use the Springer LNCS format for submission, which is available on: http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-.... Please submit your paper through the following EasyChair site: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=swcib2....
Accepted papers will be included in one of the Studies in Computational Intelligence (SCI) series published by Springer and indexed SCOPUS and DBLP.
