The Military College of Signals (MCS) proudly announces the 2nd National Conference on Information Assurance 2013 (NCIA-2013) to be held on 11-12 December 2013 at the Military College of Signals (MCS), Rawalpindi, Pakistan with the technical co-sponsorship of IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Communications Society. The NCIA-2013 is the second in its series with the pioneer conference NCIA-2010 held in August 2010. The conference will serve as a platform for exploring the latest trends, technologies, developments, challenges and industry best practices in the field of information security and information assurance. On this platform, experts and researchers from academia, industry and government sector will sit together and mutually share their knowledge and experiences with each other. A mix of invited talks and keynote speeches, white paper presentations, research paper presentations, panel discussions, industrial exposition and training workshops will make this multifaceted event, truly beneficial to the researchers’ community and organizations from academia as well as industry. The NCIA-2013 is expected;
To provide awareness/education to the participants about latest trends and technologies related to information assurance.
To gather the academicians, researchers and industry professionals on a single platform to facilitate mutual cooperation and linkages with industry.
To provide a forum for discussion on the need and growth of information security in Pakistan and its future prospects.
To highlight the need and importance of information assurance both in government and private sectors.
To provide awareness of information security tools and software.
