Topics/Call fo Papers
The oldest continuously running annual conference of the ACM invites papers in all areas of computer science. This year's ACM Southeast Conference will be held on the beautiful campus at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississppi on April 15-17, 2010. The conference provides an excellent forum for both faculty and students to present their research in a friendly and dynamic atmosphere. Please consider submitting an original contribution in one of the categories described below. All regular papers and student papers will be subject to full peer review. The conference proceedings will include regular papers, student papers, work in progress papers, and extended abstracts of posters, workshops, and tutorials.
Regular Papers
Regular papers must describe original, previously unpublished work not being concurrently considered for publication elsewhere, in basic or applied computing research or computing education. They may be up to 6 pages in length in the conference format. All regular papers will be subject to peer review, and all those who submit regular papers agree to serve as reviewers. Accepted papers will be presented at the conference and included in the conference proceedings. Due Date: January 8, 2010.
Student Papers
Student papers must describe original, previously unpublished work and may be up to 6 pages in length in the conference format. Students must be the sole authors of submissions in this category. All submissions will be subject to peer review. Accepted papers will be presented at the conference and included in the conference proceedings. Due Date: January 8, 2010.
Work In Progress Papers
Work in progress papers describe original work that shows promise but for which only preliminary results are available. Submissions in this category are extended abstracts limited to four pages in length and will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Accepted papers in this category will be presented at the conference and included in the conference proceedings. Due Date: January 15, 2010.
Faculty Posters
Faculty posters present an overview of already developed research or a work in progress. Submissions in this category are extended abstracts limited to two pages in length and will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Accepted abstracts will be presented in a poster format and included in the conference proceedings. Due Date: January 29, 2019
Student Posters
Students (as sole authors) may submit an extended abstract describing their current research activity. Submissions in this category are limited to two pages in length and will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Accepted abstracts will be presented in a poster format and included in the conference proceedings. Due Date: January 29, 2010.
Tutorials/Workshops
Tutorials and workshops provide an in-depth coverage of introductory or advanced topics. Workshops should be participatory in nature. Proposals for tutorials or workshops should include a title, abstract, statement of purpose, objectives, prerequisites, intended audience, duration (1.5 or 3 hours), materials needed (including computers), and resources to be handed out. Proposals must not exceed two pages in length. Due Date: January 8, 2010.
