Nature-inspired metaheuristic algorithms have become popular in recent years, and they are usually flexible and efficient, and yet easy to implement.
Recent studies show that nature-inspired algorithms such as particle swarm optimization, cuckoo search and firefly algorithm can be very efficient in solving highly nonlinear problems and even NP-hard problems.
This workshop intends to provide a platform for discussions and presentations of the latest developments in metaheuristic algorithms and their applications in combinatorial problems and diverse engineering optimization problems. The emphasis will be on both theory and applications, so that researchers from all disciplines can come together to discuss their latest research results.
