On behalf of Griffith University and the World Scientific Congress of Golf, I would like to invite you to join us on the Gold Coast for Golf Science: A World Scientific Congress of Golf to be held in September 2014.
This will be the first time that this golf-specific international conference will be held in the Australasian region and will be an exciting opportunity for researchers, health professionals and golf coaches to come together to present research, discuss ideas and collaborations and, of course, play some golf on some of the Gold Coast’s most beautiful golf courses.
Conference Dates and Themes
The Golf Science congress will be held on the Gold Coast, Queensland from Friday 5 ? Sunday 7 September 2014. The conference will feature international and national speakers with a mix of podium and poster presentations, keynote addresses, a lively debate and the traditional and highly competitive “Home vs International” 9 holes of golf. The themes of the conference are The Golfer, Technology & Equipment and Golf Business & Education. Featuring contemporary research, highly regarded presenters and a focus on translating research into practice the conference is sure to be an exciting event for all who attend.
The Gold Coast
Our name says it all. The ‘Gold Coast’ is a city touched by gold with a mild subtropical climate delivering blue skies almost year round. With more than 300 days of sunshine every year, visitors enjoy wonderfully mild winters, warm autumns and springs and sun-drenched summers. By its very nature our climate is a source of pure energy and inspiration.
With more golf courses per head of population than anywhere else on the planet, the Gold Coast might just as well be named the Golf Coast. It’s a true golfers’ paradise with world-class championship courses, driving ranges, public golf courses, resort courses and club golf courses. A dozen or so are open to the public, with nine ranked in the top 100 in Australia. For more information visit http://www.goldcoastaustralia.com/gold-coast-golf-...
Famous for an unrivalled range of entertainment and attractions, the Gold Coast is known as Australia’s favourite playground. In addition to 40 championship golf courses, the Gold Coast has seven of Australia’s best theme parks, 600 restaurants and cafes, Queensland’s largest shopping centre, over 70 kilometres of pristine coastline as well as an abundance of natural and cultural wonders. The Gold Coast is a fantastic place for creating spectacularly unique events.
From Griffith University and the Scientific Program Committee, we hope you are able to join us on the Gold Coast, Queensland for the 2014 Golf Science: A World Scientific Congress of Golf.
