ITCM 2013 - International Workshop on Information Technology for Chinese Medicine (ITCM2013)
Topics/Call fo Papers
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a wonder in the world medical field, which has a history as long as five thousand years. At present, information technology has developed dramatically, which has a great impact on different scientific fields. It has been and being an important role in the development of TCM, in the various aspects of theory discovery, therapy methodology analysis, symptom detection, medical record collection and storage, prescription analysis, herbal drug design, and intelligent diagnosis. These technologies cover database, network, statistics, intelligent data analysis, data mining and knowledge discovery, signal processing, image analysis and pattern recognition. Researchers from different fields like TCM, biomedical engineering, computer science, automation, and electronics engineering have a pressing need for and benefits in the interdisciplinary exchange and discussion of ideas. We anticipate that our collaborations will shed light on research directions and provide the stimulus for creative breakthroughs.
This workshop will bring together researchers from different disciplines and encourage collaborative research in information technology for TCM. Original research papers are solicited in the theory behind TCM informatics, additional workshop topics include but not limited to the following.
?Theory Discovery
?Therapy Analysis
?Intelligent Diagnosis
?Diagnosis Computerization
?Data Analysis of Acupuncture and Moxibustion
?Record Collection and Storage
?Record Mining and Modeling
?Prescription Analysis and Mining
?Herbal Drug Design
?Novel Methodology in Bioinformatics
?Novel Methodology in System Biology
?Novel Methodology in Data Mining
?Novel Methodology in Pattern Recognition
Manuscripts should be submitted via the submission system of BIBM2013, which will be blindly reviewed by at least two reviewers, accepted papers will be published by IEEE CPS Press (Indexed by EI) on the conference, and selected papers will be invited to publish inBMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine(Indexed by SCI and PubMed) after this conference.
