Why Should You Attend:
This webinar will discuss U.S. Customs & Border Protection’s (CBP) move to full ISF enforcement on July 9, 2013. On June 6, 2013, CBP announced that they intend to fully enforce ISF requirements on July 9, 2013. For all maritime consignments departing a foreign port bound for the U.S. on July 9th or after will be subject to full CBP enforcement of ISF requirements. This means that all importers may be subject to a Liquidated Damage claim of $5,000 if the ISF is late (not filed 24 hours prior to departure) or inaccurate. The term Liquidated Damages essentially means penalty or fine.
Participants of this webinar will learn techniques for managing ISF compliance and strategies for maintaining a compliant ISF program. Our speaker will also discuss the Liquidated Damages Mitigation Guidelines published by CBP and conclude with ISF best practices across the global trade community. The penalty phase of the Importer Security Filing (ISF) program begins on July 9, 2013. Spend an hour with us in this webinar and perhaps you’ll save your company a few of the $5,000 penalties that can be imposed by U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP).
