The European Energy Market is the international conference dealing with energy markets and operation of power systems in the competitive environment. The conference has a long tradition started in 2004 in Lodz, Poland and continued in Warsaw and Cracow in 2006 and 2007 respectively. After four events took place in Poland, the fifth conference was held in Lisbon in 2008, the sixth event was organized in Leuven in May 2009. The subsequent conferences were located in Madrid in 2010, Zagreb in 2011, Florence 2012 and Stockholm in 2013.
In 2014, we are back in Cracow, the old capitol of Poland and one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The conference venue is located in the main square of Cracow within the walking distance to many hotels and touristic attractions. Cracow is situated at the crossing of important trade routes, the point of contact between cultures. The network of railway, road and air connections cause that Cracow is one of the most accessible cities in Europe.
European Energy Market 2014 (EEM14) conference will be held in Cracow (Kraków), Poland on 28th ? 30th May 2013. It is organized by the Institute of Electric Power Engineering at Lodz University of Technology. The conference will be an excellent opportunity to discuss prior experience of the European market operation and change in ideas and challenges. It is well attended with the submission of near 300 proposals of research papers.
The main topics relating the energy market design and operation will be discussed during the conference:
Electricity Market Design, Regulation and Monitoring,
Technical Aspects of Electricity Market Operation,
Operation, Modelling, Forecasting and Simulation of Commodity, Technical and Financial Markets,
Implementation of the European Energy and Climate Policy.
Infrastructure Development and Asset Management,
Presence and the Future of Gas and Coal Markets.
Since IEEE and PES are Technical Sponsors of the EEM14, all peer reviewed conference papers will be approved and posted to the IEEE Conference Search.
