The 13th URLA Conference will be held on September 19-21, 2013 in Marmara University in İstanbul.
Today, the information technologies are evolving rapidly both locally and globally, and having an important impact in many areas especially in the formation of the competition. Effective information sharing and uncovering the knowledge-based value-added products and services in terms of development policies are possible via innovative approaches in the field of information management.
In this context, the extraordinary possibilities provided by information technologies, emerging innovative platforms and information systems enable significant opportunities such as faster, more efficient and cost-effective information services.
Aim;
The University and Research Librarians’ Association (UNAK) organize annual conferences in order to raise awareness of practitioners related to the information on various platforms like information services, information & document management, knowledge economy, information literacy, industrialization of information and so on in Turkey since 1991. The scientific and original studies/papers in the accordance with specified themes are evaluated and presentations are decided by the conference committee for the conference. The UNAK Annual Conference is held in a different university every year and supported by various sponsors and government agencies. The main theme of the Conference in 2013 “Information Systems, Platforms, Architectures and Technologies.”
In this context, academics, practitioners, librarians, researchers, company representatives as well as individuals who are interested in the field of librarianship, information science, education and information technology are expected to attend the conference.
