In 2014, the Railway Technical Society of Australasia (RTSA) will be hosting its biennial Conference on Railway Excellence (CORE), the premier technical conference in Australasia’s rail industry calendar.
The conference theme, Rail Transport for a Vital Economy, highlights technological and other industry developments which are increasing and enhancing the effectiveness of rail in supporting economic development and wellbeing around the world ? promoting a global economy which reflects the vital importance of rail transport technology in achieving efficient use of our wealth and resources.
The conference technical committee invites you to submit abstracts of potential papers for consideration as an oral presentation for inclusion in the Conference Program. The Committee may, at its discretion, invite authors of non-accepted papers to present their information in a Poster format for display at the conference venue.
As a courtesy we request that all authors ensure that the full paper be submitted by 11 November 2013 to process
and send for peer review. The organisers reserve the right to remove papers from the program should authors not
submit papers by the required dates indicated above.

Guidelines
Abstracts must be submitted via the online submission process and all communication with authors will be via email. No abstracts will be accepted via email.
Full Guidelines include
All authors must use the abstract template on the web site
Abstracts must be no longer than 350 words
All abstracts must be typed in Arial 11 point font
Paper Title must be typed all in capital letters only and bolded e.g. HOW TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACTFOR CORE 2014
Authors of accepted abstracts are required to register to attend the conference as a delegate
Abstracts will be selected following a rigorous review of the quality and relevance of the proposed paper and with regard to the overall balance of the conference program.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that any required approvals from their sponsoring or other related organisations are received prior to submission of the draft full paper.
A submission of the full paper automatically implies that appropriate approvals to publish the paper have been received.
