The whole world of telecommunications and information communities is facing serious challenges.The transmitted multimedia-rich data are blowing up at an amazing speed. At the same time, the total energy consumption by the communication and networking devices and the relevant global CO2 emission are increasing drastically. According to the recent research report, energy costs account for as much as half of a mobile operator’s operating expenses. The energy consumption issue thus raises various monetary, environmental and system performance concerns. The Symposium on Green Networking and Distributed Systems (GNDS 2013) aims to provide a remarkable opportunity for the academic and industrial communities to address new challenges, share solutions, and discuss future research directionson green networks and distributed systems.
GNDS-2013 is affiliated with Second International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI 2013). The conference will feature keynote presentations, workshops, demonstrations, parallel technical sessions and tutorials. ICACCI-2013 is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Communications Society.

GNDS-2013 invites original and unpublished work from individuals active in the broad theme of the symposium. Authors should submit their papers online using EDAS.
