The forth International Workshop on Cross-Layer Design ( IWCLD 2013 ) will be held from October 28, 2013 to October 29, 2013 in Qingdao, Shandong, China , where a beautiful Qingdao Campus of Shandong University is under construction.
IWCLD is devoted to cross-layer techniques for communication systems and provides a premier forum for researchers from academia, industry and government to present and exchange new ideas, technical advances, and ongoing works on cross layer design and related topics.
The workshop will feature keynotes addressed by leading researchers, as well as invited and contributed papers. Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:

Papers should be in English, not exceeding 5 double-column pages and should follow IEEE paper templates available on the workshop website http://www.iwcld2013.org .The proceedings of the workshop will be published by IEEE press and all papers included in the proceedings will be cited by the IEEEXplore database. Best papers of the last three Conferences were included in EI.

With this fourth edition located in Qingdao, we expect a very fruitful and pleasant workshop. Qingdao enjoys a high potential for research in the sectors of information and communication technologies, both through specialist centres and laboratories, universities and leading engineering colleges.
Also, Qingdao is about one hour away from very famous waterside places such as golden beach. A one-day tour will be proposed on October 30 , 2013 to discover these renowned destinations.
