NordiCloud 2013 - 2013 The Nordic Symposium on Cloud Computing and Internet Technologies
Topics/Call fo Papers
The purpose of the symposium is to provide a forum for enhancing collaboration between research partners from Nordic and Baltic countries in the area of Cloud Computing and Internet Technologies.
Although Cloud Computing is a new research area, all of the Nordic countries have established several initiatives and local networks to promote cloud computing research and education. An increasing number of companies from Nordic/Baltic regions have also started offering or making plans for offering different types of cloud computing. Nordic countries will however greatly benefit from a network of excellence which aims to strengthen their research collaboration for sharing experience and future research collaboration. The symposium will provide the opportunity for exchanging ideas and making tight connections.
Target audience
The target audience of the symposium is researcher and practitioners from Nordic/Baltic countries working in Cloud Computing or related research areas who are interested in identifying, developing or building on existing synergies. We also encourage exchanging ideas on emerging research trends which could be of importance in the context of future projects.
Symposium format
Duration will be one or two days; Monday 20 August to Tuesday 21 August, 2012. The idea is to have some common slots and also some tracks in parallel for special research subjects.
The symposium accepts different types of papers from Nordic/Baltic countries:
Results of on-going research projects that could be used in future research
Position papers on challenges and new research topics
Work on standards related to Cloud Computing
Education programs
Presenting activities of the current research centers with ideas for future collaboration
