The 2009 conference (ICCH) will be held at the Miami Beach Resort & Spa in beautiful Miami Beach, Florida, USA. This conference is organized by the American Academy on Communication in Healthcare (AACH) in partnership with the European Association for Communication in Healthcare (EACH).
The International Conference will feature Jozien Bensing, PhD (October 5th) and Michael Leonard, MD (October 6th) and William Branch, MD (October 7th) as the keynote speakers.

Objectives
Following this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. To review and discuss the newest research in healthcare communication
2. To review and discuss cutting-edge research methodologies in healthcare communication
3. To review and develop strategies for teaching and assessing communication skills at all levels of professional development (medical students, residents, practitioners)
4. To review and develop strategies for assessing and improving the experience of being a patient
Emphases of this year¡¯s conference are:
Ethical issues in Healthcare Communication
Patient safety as a Communication Issue
Inter-cultural Issues in Communication
All topics related to communication in healthcare will be considered. All submissions are welcome and encouraged.
