The IEEE Workshop on Sensor Networks and Data Communications Security (SNDCS)
Incorporating The 2013 IEEE International Conference on the Internet of Things
http://www.china-iot.net/
August 20-23, 2013
Beijing, China
Sensor networks are self-organising networks where hundreds to thousands even more of small sensors (mainly wireless) are netting to enable data communications over the networks. As these sensors have limited processing power, storage, bandwidth, and energy, preserving the integrity, confidentiality and availability of data communications among the sensors are more challengeable in comparison with computer networks. Besides investigating into principles and applications of wireless sensor networks, sensor node technologies, network architectures and standards, algorithms for data fusion and sensor arrays, robustness, fault tolerance, and self-healing techniques, more attention should be paid to security issues such as data confidentiality, data authentication, data integrity and data freshness, which involves network modelling & optimisation, system security and analysis, integration/embedding security, cryptographic protocols, user authentication, secure data transmission (e.g. covert communications), etc.
Research papers are invited on any aspect of Sensor Network and Data Communications Security to be presented at The 2013 IEEE International Conference on the Internet of Things. The workshop provides authors with an outstanding opportunity for networking and presenting their latest work at an international conference.
Suggested topics (other topics are also welcome):
- Sensor network architectures, modelling & optimisation
- Sensor data fusion and sensor arrays
- Robustness, fault tolerance, and self-healing
- Sensor network security and analysis
- Secure algorithms for sensor networks
- Sensor network system security
- Internet of Things security and analysis
- Internet of Things system security
- Data network security
- Computer network security
