Why Should You Attend:
Every article of foreign origin (with some exceptions) is required to be conspicuously marked with the country of origin. U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) is the lead federal agency for enforcing this requirement, however, depending on the commodity imported the goods may also be subject to other marking requirements. This session will examine the marking requirements imposed by CBP and strategies for ensuring that goods purchased abroad are legally marked.
When a foreign consignment arrives on U.S. shores without proper country of origin marks it can be an expensive and time consuming proposition. It also damages your company's all-important reputation with U.S. Customs & Border Protection. This webinar will cover the requirements of marking imported goods and materials with the country of origin.
At the end of this webinar the speaker will answer your questions related to this topic.
Learning Objectives:
- Why is country of origin marking important?
- How do we ensure that our suppliers and vendors meet this requirement?
- What happens when goods are found not to be legally marked?
