Using the motto, "Innovation that matters", this conference provides an exciting forum for exchanging ideas and experience in the ever-expanding and critical fields of software engineering and computing. The theme of this year, "Ecosystem of Engagement", highlights the confluence of software platforms and technologies that are transforming our lives every day.
The CASCON 2013 program will include keynote presentations, technical papers, position papers, workshops, and a technology showcase. The technical papers program will feature both experience reports and original research papers in the general area of software technology and applications, but particularly addressing this year's theme. The technology showcase will feature poster presentations and demonstrations of research in progress. As such, CASCON 2013 will be an excellent venue for presenting original work, exchanging new ideas, sharing results and experiences, as well as for networking with over 1300 researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government.

Ecosystem of Engagement
The Confluence of Mobile, Social Computing, Cloud, Big Data and Analytics
Emerging technologies such as mobile, social computing, cloud, big data and analytics start to bring fundamental transformations in the IT industry. The time has come that consuming these technologies together can bring about revolutionary shifts much bigger than each of the technology by itself. The confluence of all of these technologies to purposefully interact, integrate and inter operate with each other, together, may birth novel and high business value capabilities, services and solutions, This creates exciting opportunities for the advancement of science and technologies a s well as opportunities for new software product offerings like never before.
Research Topics:
CASCON 2013 invites authors to submit original papers addressing these challenges and others in the broad area of software systems and technologies, including but not limited to the following topics:
Cloud Computing: cloud platforms and frameworks, autonomic management, adaptive systems, virtualization.
Intelligence and Analytics: predictive modelling and analytics, data warehouses, web-level data, OLAP, data mining, data visualization, intelligent search, data integration, risk analytics.
