SN&DE 2013 - 1st International Workshop on Social Networks and Digital Ecosystems (SN&DE)
Topics/Call fo Papers
In Web2.0, the rapid growth and use of social networks (SN) applications leads to the emergence of digital ecosystems (DE) composed of multiple and independent entities such as individuals, organizations and focusing on their interactions and inter-relationships.
A digital ecosystem is supported by a distributed, adaptive and open socio-technical system with properties of self-organization, scalability and sustainability inspired from natural ecosystems. These systems generally include functionalities like weblogs, wikis, etc. On one hand, interactions between users thanks to these technologies may facilitate the creation and the sharing of knowledge. On the other hand, new common practice emerge through DE and influence the integration of new tools in collaborative platforms.
Let’s note that the multi-disciplinary nature of digital ecosystems and their characteristics, make them highly complex to study and design. The SN&DE 2013 Workshop aims to bring together academic and industrial researchers from different domains interested in social networks approaches and technologies for resource management of Digital Ecosystems.
