UUMA 2013 - The 4rd International Workshop on Universal User Modeling and Applications
Topics/Call fo Papers
The International Workshop on Universal User Modeling and Applications (UUMA 2013) is an international forum for researchers to exchange information regarding advancements in the state of the art and practice of user modeling and its related applications, as well as to identify the emerging research topics and define the future. The technical program of UUMA 2013 will consist of invited talks, paper presentations, and panel discussions. UUMA 2013 will be held in Beijing, China during August 20-23, 2013. In conjunction with the 2013 IEEE International Conference on Internet of Things (iThings2013). UUMA 2010, UUMA 2011 and UUMA 2012 were held in Hangzhou, Dalian and Chengdu, respectively.
Topics of Interests
In summary, the main topics of interest are on grand challenges, requirements, architectures, innovations and abstractions for universal user modeling, text mining, social network, as well as associated applications. In particular, we are seeking papers in, but not limited to, the following main areas:
● User interface and personalization techniques
● Architecture and infrastructure for user modeling
● Applications of user modeling
● Measurements for user personalization
● Modeling and analysis of social networks
● System Design Modeling and Evaluation
● Distributed Sensing and Control
● Networks and Communications
● Intelligent Data Processing and Ubiquitous Computing
● Applications of adopting social network
● Social Network Mining
● Text, Graph, Video, Multimedia Data Mining
● Semantic Web, Knowledge Management
Paper Publication
Accepted papers will be published in proceedings of the CPSCom 2013 conference by IEEE Computer Society (EI indexed). Authors of accepted papers, or at least one of them, are requested to register and present their work at the conference, otherwise their papers will be removed from the IEEE Computer Society Digital Library (IEEE CSDL) and IEEE Xplore. Extended versions of selected best papers will be considered for publication in special issues of several SCI-indexed international journals.
