The KSE conference is an open international forum for presentation, discussion and exchange of the latest advances and challenges in research of Knowledge and Systems Engineering. The fifth edition of the Conference, KSE 2013, aims to bring together researchers, academics, practitioners and students in order to not only share research results and practical applications but also to foster collaboration in research and education in Knowledge and Systems Engineering. KSE 2013 will be held in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, during 17-19 October, 2013, and jointly organized by Hanoi National University of Education and the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University. KSE 2013 solicits contributions dealing with any aspects of Knowledge and Systems Engineering.

PAPER SUBMISSION
The authors are invited to submit their full papers by the deadline of 1st June, 2013, through the KSE 2013 submission page http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=kse2013. The submissions will be peer-reviewed for originality and scientific quality. The proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in its series “Advances in Intelligent and Soft Computing”, and be available at the Conference. Papers should follow the LaTeX series format as described at http://www.springer.com/series/4240/ and should not exceed 12 pages in the Springer-Verlag format.
After Conference, a special issue of International Journal of Approximate Reasoning will be planned to publish a small number of extended papers selected from the Conference. Other special issues will be updated in due course.

Deadline for paper submission: 1 June 2013
Notification of acceptance/rejection: 16 July 2013
Deadline for the final camera-ready: 8 August 2013
