CJ 2014 - Special Issue on Ambient and Context-Aware Services for the Future Web
Topics/Call fo Papers
Collaboration has become more important to organizations as they handle the increasing dispersal of their activities across space, time, and organizational boundaries. An effective collaborative environment, aided by proper collaboration tools, can lead to dramatic increases in business value through more effective business. Collaboration technology has been viewed from a wide variety of perspectives in the decades since the idea was first born. Different reference disciplines have contributed to that variety such that computer science, human-computer interaction, and software engineering. The objective of this special issue is to review recent research work on the latest technology developments, directions, problems, and requirements and also in enabling technologies for collaboration. It will include contributions from both academia and industrials on the following topics:
? Distributed and centralized collaborative solutions for software systems.
? Collaboration in Cloud computing
? Methodologies, languages and tools to support collaboration.
? Formal tools and technologies for collaboration
? Collaborative green computing
This issue will contain a selection of extended best papers from the tracks of the 22st IEEE WETICE Conference. The authors of these papers are kindly asked to prepare a revised and extended version of their paper. Extending their paper by additional material (about 40%) will be appreciated.
**Instructions to authors**
Papers should be submitted via The Computer Journal's online submission system at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/compj. Each submission should be accompanied by a letter stating that the paper is meant for the Special Issueon “Enabling Technologies and Infrastructures for Collaboration”.
The papers will be peer reviewed according to the usual standards of this journal and evaluated on the basis of originality, quality and relevance, and clarity and correct use of English.
