The International Workshop on Software Engineering for Internet of Things-Based Applications (SeIoTA)
To be held in conjunction with the IEEE iThings 2013
August 20-23, 2013
Beijing, China
Call for Papers
The software paradigm based on Internet of Things (IoT) has recently emerged from the growing diversity of devices, which able to communicate via internet, and to collaborate and render value-added services. Due to the distribution, heterogeneity, dynamicity, variability and evolution of IoT, the development of IoT-based applications faces great deal of software engineering challenges, e.g. context-awareness, scalability, self-adaption, dynamic service discovery and composition, security, trust, and so on.
This workshop aims to attract researchers of both the software engineering and IoT communities to report their last research achievements, to exchange original research results on the topic of software engineering for IoT-based applications, to stimulate discussion about the core open problems, and to define a shared research agenda.
Topics of Interest
The workshop focuses on software engineering issues arising in the Internet of Things applications. Specific topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
l Development methodologies for IoT-based applications;
l Service-oriented architecture of IoT-based applications;
l Testing, debugging, and validation of IoT-based applications;
l QoS modeling and analysis of IoT-based applications;
l Environment and context modeling;
l Security and trust of IoT-based applications;
l Formal verification and model-checking for IoT-based applications;
l Programming languages and compilers for IoT-based applications;
l Middleware systems for IoT-based applications
Submissions
Authors are invited to submit the manuscripts (max 6 pages), including figures, tables, and references. Manuscripts should be written according to the IEEE Computer Society format: http://www.computer.org/portal/web/cscps/formattin....
All manuscripts will be reviewed by three (two at least) program committee members, for assessing their significance, originality, accuracy, and clarity. Workshop proceedings will be published along with that of iThings'13 by IEEE Computer Society (EI indexed). Extended versions of selected high-quality papers will be considered for publication in several SCI-index international journals.
The PDF file of your manuscripts should be sent to Prof. Liu through email: mailjinliu-AT-yahoo.com
