SS_on_ECYPS’2013 - the 2013 Summer School on Embedded and Cyber-Physical Systems will be held in Budva located on the beautiful Adriatic See shore of Montenegro.
It is devoted to embedded and cyber-physical systems for modern highly-demanding applications that require complex computations to be performed with a very high speed, while at the same time demanding low energy consumption and low cost, and/or imposing high safety, security or reliability demands. It will address the technology, design methodology and EDA tools for such systems. Its target participants are academic researchers and teachers, industrial researchers, developers and decision-makers, and Ph.D. students, especially those participating in European research projects.
The Summer School will be accompanied by ECYPS’2013 - the EUROMICRO/IEEE Workshop on Embedded and Cyber-Physical Systems being a part of MECO’2013 - the 2013 Mediterranean Conference on Embedded Computing that will be held in the same place and time. The Summer School participants can participate in the Workshop free of charge.
The Summer School, ECYPS’2013 Workshop and MECO’2013 Conference give an excellent opportunity to disseminate the research results from the related European Projects, as well as, other related international or national projects. All tutors of the Summer School perform their research in the scope of relevant ongoing European Projects and large parts of their tutorials will discuss the fresh research results of the respective projects.
Please find below the Preliminary Program including the subject titles and names of the main tutors.
Preliminary Program:
? Quality-driven model-based design of multi-processor embedded systems for highly-demanding applications (Prof. Lech Jóźwiak, Eindhoven University of Technology)
? Modeling, simulation and validation of heterogeneous cyber-physical systems involving discrete and continuous components (Prof. Davide Quaglia, University of Verona)
? Embedded Reconfigurable Architectures (Prof. Stephan Wong, Delft University of Technology)
? Embedded systems for safety-critical and mixed-criticality applications (Prof. Peter Puschner, Vienna University of Technology)
? Technology and design techniques for future reliable MPSoCs (Prof. Ioannis Sourdis, Chalmers University of Technology)
? Embedded systems for biomedical and disaster management applications (Prof. Radovan Stojanović, University of Montenegro)
? Hot issues and recent developments in embedded and cyber-physical systems (recent results from several ongoing European, international and national projects)
The Summer School fee is kept low to make it affordable for Ph.D. students.
