The aim of the session is to provide a platform for discussions about current issues and
research advancements of image, signal processing and analysis (ISPA) in the airborne
reconnaissance and surveillance of the mine fields, forest fires and sea pollution by oil. The
session topics include but are not limited to:
? specific processing and analysis of visible, near infrared, multi spectral, hyper spectral, long
wave infrared data and images of the mine fields and mine suspected areas, of the forest fires
and the sea pollution by oil;
? enhancement, extraction of signatures, features, indicators of mine presence, mine absence,
fire elements, oil pollution,
? computer assisted photo interpretation of the airborne images of the mine fields, forest fires,
sea pollution by oil;
? thematic interpretation; assessment of quality;
? identification of the airborne reconnaissance and surveillance system performances;
? radiometric, spatial and spectral calibration of collected images and data.
