Topics/Call fo Papers

Please consider submitting a tool demo to the 2013 ICPC Tool Demo Track. The Tool Demo track provides a valuable opportunity for live presentations of both industry-strength tools as well as academic prototypes. We especially encourage tool demonstration proposals complementing full technical papers. Whereas a technical paper is intended to give the background information and point out the scientific contribution of a new program comprehension approach, the tool demonstration provides a unique opportunity to show how the scientific approach has been transferred into a working prototype.
Extended abstracts for tool demonstrations should:
Describe the technology or approach, including its novelty, how it relates to other industrial or research efforts (including references), its expected benefits, and its availability and maturity (maximum length of 2 pages)
Include up to 1 page of dedicated screen shots and figures (in addition to the 2-page extended abstract)
Include a demo walk through as an appendix. This can be either:
a 1-page appendix that provides a detailed description of how the tool will be demonstrated OR
a URL to a 5-minute (maximum) video demonstrating the tool (jing is a free capture tool for Windows and Mac that provides free hosting for 5-minute videos)
